La Carrera Panamericana Meets The 24 Hours of LeMons

That's right you read it right. This weekend the 24 Hours Of LeMons is being held at Buttonwillow Raceway Park and the event is called THE BUTTONWILLOW HISTRIONICS 2009.

But wait!!! There's something even more interesting for those of us involved with La Carrera Panamericana. If I have read my Spanish translation anywhere's close it says that Eduardo Leon, founder and honorary president of La Carrera Panamericana is going to compete and that his weekend event is called The Buttonwillow Histrionics, the gem of the series 24 Hours of Lemons.

Edwardo "Lalo" was invited to be part of Team Tango. With sponsorship from Lucas Oil, Falken Tires, Q-Motorsports TV ONE, Eduardo and his team face a total of 84 teams who have confirmed their entry.

I will be the first to say how surprised I am that Lalo will be at this event considering all that is going on in Monterey at the Monterey Historic's.

I'll bet that after a few laps in that $500 station wagon, Lalo moves over to Tarpy's Roadhouse.
